Palma de Mallorca: My Top Photography Tips
Palma de Mallorca is a lovely seaside city to meander around and photograph, in fact the best shots can be found by losing yourself within the maze of streets. Take the time to reflect on how to shoot Palma’s architecture, you can get some great angles shooting upwards and alternative shots by climbing up higher to get a new perspective.
Consider bringing along a wide angle lens for your camera so you can capture the full height of the amazing architecture including the iconic cathedral and quaint narrow streets. Remember to set the f number on your camera relatively high to retain the details of the intricate facades.
La Seu (Palma’s cathedral) makes a stunning night shot lit up against the starry sky. Pack a tripod for your evening shots to ensure you get nice crisp photos as you’ll want a slower shutter speed to let as much light in as possible. If you’re looking to also capture the stars it’s best to use a remote shutter to reduce any camera shake from pressing the button as you’ll need to really slow down the shutter to get your shot.
