Away from the iconic temples there are many other fun ways to spend your time in Siem Reap. A self-confessed mini golf fan (I’ve tried and failed at real golf!) I was excited to hear about an Angkor Wat themed mini golf course.
Over half of the holes are played around replicas of the famous Angkor Wat temples, and others offer water features. Try spotting the temples you’ve visited in miniature version on your way round.
Dotted around the course there are some shady rest areas to take a break from the scorching sun; and to telephone for an ice cold beer to keep you hydrated (and improve your game!)
Throughout the course there’s a good mix of tricky holes and some easier ones so you don’t get too frustrated if you’re novice like me. If you’ve more skill you can be rewarded for a hole in one with a free beer, although that may result in the rest of your shots being less successful!
At only $5 a round for the 14 holes this is a cheap and enjoyable way to spend an afternoon away from the busy temples, in fact when we visited we were the only ones on the course.
