A night at the casino is about so much more than simply playing the tables.
Establishments these days offer entertainment to their guests, as well as places to drink and socialise. A good casino will be a one-stop-shop for a night’s entertainment, with some offering rooms with music and DJs, should you want a break from the gaming.
Even in the UK, casinos are taking a leaf out of their Las Vegas’ counterparts, who have long been offering much more than cards, dice and slot machines. The Review Journal explains how Elvis Presley had a residency at a Vegas casino as the owners looked to offer their customers more than just the games. In today’s crowded market, where online casinos are on the increase, brick and mortar establishments have been forced to up their game.
In the UK, we like nothing more than a bite to eat when we have a night out. How often have you gone to a club or a show, but eaten on the way there or on the way home? Top casinos have recognised this and are now offering some impressive restaurants on their premises. If you are looking for a great night out around the tables, but want to dine well first, then these are the casinos you need to visit.
Genting Casino - Bournemouth
If you are on the south coast you should pay a visit to the Genting Casino, which boasts the impressive Balcony Restaurant from 7 pm until 1 am. Booking is advised though because the food is of such impressive quality.
On the menu, there is a superb sirloin steak as well as 10oz gammon, both of which come highly recommended. Whilst the menu is not unlike a typical bar and grill offering, it is good enough to hold its own without the array of blackjack tables, roulette wheels and slot machines to indulge in afterwards.
The Grosvenor Casino - Knightsbridge
London is awash with casinos that also boast great places to eat and it is not easy to select one from the array on offer. However, Grosvenor Casino has partnered with different restaurants to offer exquisite food at its exclusive locations. The Grosvenor Casino in Knightsbridge is famous for its roulette tables and is one of the most prestigious locations in the UK. They have combined that standing as a respected casino with a great menu for visitors to enjoy.
The Park Tower has a huge selection of fish, pasta and meat dishes for gamers to enjoy. Their pan-friend veal chop is simply wonderful, but the extensive menu has a little something for anyone wanting to fill themselves up before congregating around the world-famous roulette tables for an evening of fun.
Manchester 235 – Manchester
Customers in the north of England are not without their own great restaurant and casino combo, with Manchester 235 standing out amongst its peers. Celebrity chef James Martin has his own self-titled outlet within the casino but set aside on a mezzanine away from the main tables. It achieved additional exposure when his Chef de Partie, Exose Grant Lopo-Ndinga, reached the final three of the BBC show MasterChef: The Professionals. The chef’s table menu boasts such delights as crispy hens’ egg and pumpkin and sage anglotti, whilst the a la carte menu is littered with tasty dishes like the Indian spiced lamb rack and monkfish roasted on the bone.
Afterwards, the Manchester 235 venue is a great place to spend the night, not only offering some of the finest gaming tables in the city but also places to socialise with friends as part of a night out.
